Budd: Thomas and Malissa

There were five children, four sons and one daughter. The three oldest children were born in Lindsay, Ontario, the two youngest children were born at St. Thomas, North Dakota.

Thomas Budd had a livery business in St. Thomas and later farmed in the Glasston, Community.

In 1910, the family moved to Alticane, Saskatchewan and homesteaded. Albert came back to Glasston and got the necessary homestead effects and the rest of the family followed.

As time went on all settled in parts of Saskatchewan and Alberta. All four sons farmed, Eli, Albert, Herb and Russell. Russell retained his fathers farming interest, however the others went into the hotel business. Herb's Hotel was at Hanley, Saskatchewan and Albert's hotel was at Alticane, Saskatchewan.

Gladys Budd McDonald, the only daughter, and her husband, Gardiner McDonald farm a large acreage with their son at Richard, Saskatchewan. Gladys has been very active in the community.
