Henry Littlejohn, Sr.
Henry Littlejohn Sr., a resident of Mitchell for the past sixty years, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bert Ruston, on Saturday after an illness of six weeks duration. Born in Devonshire, he came to Canada with his parents, the late Humphrey Littlejohn and Harriet Metherell at the age of nine months. He was one of a famly of thirteen and was predeceased by seven brothers and three sisters. His wife passed away on January 5th, 1931, and surviving are two daughters, two sons and three brothers.
Rev. H.C. Vernon spoke on "How do we know there is a future life?" from St. John 11:25 when relatives and friends gathered for the obsequies at the home of his daughter on Tuesday. Mrs. T. W. Heath and Mrs. W.E. Pridham sang a suitable duet. The remains were placed in Woodland Mausoleum and the pallbearers were George Edighoffer, George Seigner, Milton Jordan, Amos Thiel, W.T. Brown and Ed French.
Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Fowler, Mrs. T. Trombley, Mrs. Robt. Blackmore and Miss Mildred Farr, all of Windsor, were among those attending the funeral.
