He married Mary Martha (Mitchell) Tuffin 17 May 1883 in Mitchell, Logan Township, Perth County, Ontario, Canada, daughter of Simon Mitchell and Joanna Hall. She was born 06 November 1854 in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, and died 05 January 1931 in Fullarton Township, Perth County, Ontario, Canada.
