Estella Littlejohn

Estella Littlejohn, 82, formerly of Grafton, died Saturday, March 17, in the Pembina County Memorial Nursing Home in Cavalier where she was a resident for the past three years.

Miss Littlejohn was born Aug. 14, 1901, the daughter of James and Etta (Van Camp) Littlejohn. She received her early education in Glasston and graduated from St. Thomas High School. She attended the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg with a degree in music. Miss Littlejohn was an accomplished pianist. Following her education she stayed home to care for her parents, and later lived in Salem, Ore., for a few years before moving to Grafton in the early 1960's. She also lived in Grand Forks for a few years.

She was a member of the Glasston United Methodist Church in Glasston.

Survivors include two brothers, Raymond, St. Thomas, and Willard, Glasston;and three nephews; Earl, Keith and Duane Littlejohn, all of St. Thomas.

She was predeceased by her parents, an infant brother and one nephew.

Funeral services will be today (Tuesday, March 20) at 2 p.m. in the Glasston United Methodist Church with Rev. Darald Church officiating. Burial will be in the Glasston Cemetery.

Visitation was from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. There will also be visitation at the church today for one hour before the time of service.

Pallbearers are six grand nephews, James Littlejohn, Lowen Littlejohn, Russell Littlejohn, Randy Littlejohn and Wayne Littlejohn.

Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton is in charge of arrangements.
